HI! I'm Emma.
Hey there :) I just created my own photography business in May 2023, however, I've had experience for multiple years both behind cameras shooting and in front of cameras modeling. So if you feel nervous, I'll help you with posing ideas and I prioritize building relationships with my clients before their sessions to try and create the most comfortable environment that I can for them. The only reason I held off on purchasing my own camera, was to wait until I knew that I wanted to dedicate myself to photography.
I'm an outdoors girl who loves to adventure, play with my pup, Dally, spend time with my amazing boyfriend, and I also love capturing memories of the places, people, and things I encounter! I live in Sainte Genevieve and I'm also a nursing major at SEMO so life does get pretty busy sometime!
I will capture any kind of session that you can think of!
The reason I began my own photography journey was to capture memories, places, and people more true to themselves and to show their true beauty. An iPhone picture never does justice to how beautiful anyone or anything truly is, which is why I decided to step into this industry!

how do i pay you?
For the all in package or any senior sessions, I request a $25 deposit upon booking to secure your requested time/date. The remaining fee is due by/on the date of your session. For mini and signature sessions, I require you to pay before or upon arrival at your session. I accept payments via Venmo, PayPal, cash, and checks. If payment is not received by the end of the session, you will not receive your images until you pay the amount due.
do you have a contract? what is it for?
Yes! I do have a contract that you will have to sign upon booking a session with me. Any person over the age of 18 must read and sign the contract, and any minors must have their parents or legal guardians read and sign the contract. The contract helps set rules of engagement, grants permission to share photos, denies you from crediting yourself or others of my work, and helps eliminate potential miscommunications between us!

do you travel?
To an extent! I travel around the Southeast Missouri area, and occasionally up towards St. Louis! Anything within 25 miles from Sainte Genevieve is priced as is. However, anything more than that I do charge travel reimbursement based on the IRS standard mileage rate (65 cents per mile)

what should i wear?
I recommend that you wear whatever you feel most comfortable and confident in! If you feel uncomfortable, it will show in your images. Dark or light colors are both perfectly fine! I have tons of practice editing both. My editing consists of bringing out the highlights, making your eyes pop in portraits, blurring the background so that YOU are the focus, slightly sharpening, contrasting, so the images still look realistic and not extremely discolored! I also can edit out any stray hairs and remove any unwanted objects :) I would avoid huge logos or large, distracting patterns as YOU are the focus rather than what you are wearing! Feel free to look through my social media to see what my past clients have worn!
where should we take our photos?
Maybe where you and your s/o had your first date or where you first met! A family farm! A park! Anything that you think is cute, let me know! We can shoot wherever you wish! If you're drawing a blank let me know and I can help you come up with a few options! Again, feel free to check out my socials for previous places I've shot! (Pets are always welcome at sessions!!)
do you edit the photos?
Yes! All of your photos will be delivered to you via email, fully edited!
do i own the photos?
You have rights to the photos but I own copyright. You have the right to print and use them for personal use, however, you cannot alter them (if you want something to be changed, ask me please!), sell them for profit, or credit someone else for my work.
can i have the raw images (unedited)?
No, I don't deliver raw photos whatsoever. As stated, editing is how I build my portfolio and put my own signature touch on my work to separate myself from other photographers. Editing is how I make photos beautiful and cherish-able, it is crucial to my business!

how many images will i receive?
You will always receive the amount of images that comes with the package! However, if I just absolutely love a couple more, I will throw those in as well! I will never gate keep any photos from you that I think are beautiful and that you would love! The only images I won't deliver to you are those which you are blinking, coughing, sneezing, mid-talk, out of focus, if the posing is off, etc.
when will my photos be delivered?
I will always send you a couple of sneak peeks within the first 3 days so you get a glimpse of what is yet to come! I know how impatient I am, and how hard waiting can be! Sending you sneak peaks allows you to post some images and it gives me hope that they'll satisfy you until you receive the rest! I usually deliver final products within 5-14 business days (depending on which package you had got)
how do you deliver the pictures?
I will send the pictures via Pixieset. You will receive an email saying your gallery is ready and you'll have 1 month to download them before they expire. I would suggest saving them to multiple places. You can share this link with others so that they can download the images as well!
can we print our photos?
Absolutely! Please print them, frame them, and send me pictures! It will make my day :)
I recommend using the Pixieset prints, or websites such as mpix.com or shutterfly.com to print your images. Walmart and Walgreens pictures are low quality. I've found that they don't turn out the best. They may blur or be discolored, which is why I would avoid them.
can we post our photos?
YES!! Post whichever images that you would like to, wherever you want to post them! Tagging my photography accounts via Facebook and Instagram helps my business a ton!
Are you going to post the photos on your social media?
Yes. These photos are copyrighted to me so I have the rights to publish them to my pages, use them in my portfolio, and for marketing purposes. However, if you REALLY don't like an image, let me know so I won't post that specific one!

what if i lose my images?
I will keep your RAW images saved for 60 days on my memory card, but after that, they will be deleted. So if you lose them and I have to re-edit them I will charge a $30 fee. I don’t have enough storage to hold them for you forever.
what about bad weather?
I don't like to cancel unless it is 100% necessary. Cloudy days actually make some of the best pictures! As long as it's not hailing, pouring rain, or storming, plan to still come to your session. If we have to re-schedule we will and your non-refundable deposit that you paid for the original cancelled date will be used to secure your new rescheduled date. However, if you cancel a session more than once, each rescheduling after the first one will require another non-refundable deposit billed to you for your new dates.
Can i leave a review?
YES! This will make my day since reviews help my business grow and improve so much. I would love for you to leave a review on my facebook page, in a message to me, or on the link at the end of my website! You can talk about every part of your experience with me that you would like! Things such as; the first point of contact, receiving your photos, how long the process took, what you loved, why you chose me as a photographer, etc! Thank you so much in advance :)

step one.
Send me an email, text, or private message telling me what package you would like, what dates work for you, and which locations you have in mind! Tell me a little bit about yourself and anyone else who will be in the photos! Tell me what the session is for, and feel free to ask me any questions! I love to know about my clients and build a relationship with them before their session!
ready to make things official?
step two.
I will send over my contract for you to review and sign, and will also collect the non-refundable deposit. Once you have signed and paid, I will send over an inquiry form for you to fill out and submit (if you have not yet already), that way I can get to know you better, verify the date and type of session, as well as let you express what you want out of your session. Feel free to share Pinterest boards with me so I can get a feel for what you're wanting, or poses you'd like to capture!
step three.
We create memories! Focus on being yourself with your babe or posing like a model, and let me do all the rest! I promise it will be nothing stressful, and I am a very laid back person! I'll tell you what to do with your hands, how to move, how to sit, and everything else that makes pictures look better and portrays your true self! Then I'll get to editing and have the pictures delivered to you ASAP!
